Theory test changes are initiated by Driving Standard Agency by just one goal – safe driving.
The two major changes are:
- Since October, 2010 during driving test there will be also independent driving section. Independent driving usually takes 10 minutes and you should be ready to drive independently by either following traffic signs or series of directions of examiner. Be aware that independent driving is not a test of your orientation skills on roads but it is a test of your ability to make decisions safely during daily traffic situations.
- Starting with January, 2012 Driving Standard Agency will not publish the live theory test question bank. This is great news as more people will start to understand driving theory, and not just learn to pass the test.
Since 6 years ago I was failed my theory test because my English was not good, and I still got L provisional driving licence.
It’s a bit pain I must drops my son around 3 miles to school and I must paid the Bus around £70 permonth.( 2 years now ).
I am scared to do the test( will failed ) because from my view the question test( website Mock the test ) I faund very confused, why..? we paid the insurance, and it is not fair if the theory test question also about our car. Example: Catalytic Converters fitted etc…I am not Insurance service, why I should know about that?? The question should about on the road etc..not about “OUR CAR” thats the Insurance company will repair it.I hope I was wrong and I am still not confident about the test.
